365 Days of Scheerer Delight: Pontiff Gone Wild

While you were perusing the shelves at check out lines while in the grocery store, Target or a 7-11 a couple of weeks ago, you might have seen something you don’t see everyday.

It’s not everyday you see Pope Francis, or any Pope for that matter, on the cover of Rolling Stone — the magazine for music and American pop culture.

When I saw it in the newsstand, I had to buy a piece of history and see what it was all about. It collected dust for about a week while I tried to stay afloat at work with the winter/spring crossover season in full swing.

I finally got a chance to read while I was on my flight to Buffalo with the women’s basketball and it was a great insight on his background, his wonderful sense of humor and how they’ve shaped the man he is now — the leader of the Catholic Church.

Regardless of your religious views or your opinions on religion or the Catholic church, I highly recommend this read.
